Rehab center in Malakhovo.

The prison ministry is being carried out all over Southern conference. Out of 15 prisons the SDA church does its work in 11. There are about 165 interests (28 years old average) attending bible studies in their search for salvation in Christ. Thus many young adults have a chance to forsake their criminal ways and return to normal social life. In the Southern Conference we have 15 former inmates who are carrying different ministry in the church.

Whenever the inmates are free again it is very difficult for them to adapt to social life. This is why we see a great need in establishing such Rehab centers where former inmates could get social and spiritual support, help with paperwork and job training, in other words- help in starting a new life. Another problem is high level of drug and alcohol addiction that leads to broken families and increasing number of orphans.

To meet this need the SDA church started a Rehab center in Malakhovo, NIkolaev area. God put it on heart of one Christian to give a house to the church. Thomas Devitt, USA, donated 10.000$ toward this project. With this money we could remodel the house and place. Since April 2009 we built here a fowl shed, wide street, and bathroom and bought some sheep and goats to breed. But still a lot needs to be done, like putting the heating, including the furnace, finishing the construction of veggies storage and buying a neighboring house for the helping workers, and some specialized ground toiling machinery. To accomplish all this we need 50.000$.

Today the Rehab center in Malakhovo can receive eight people. When our construction is over 24 people will be able to get timely help here.
We count on your sincere prayer and financial support. May God bless for your kindness and generosity.
